Samy D., Born in France 1968 , Lives and works in Tel Aviv. Samy D. is Widely regarded as a pioneer in the Israeli Art and Design arena. Through his distinctive voice and style, he has paved the way for ceramic functional art in Israel. His work has been showcased in Nieman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman and Barneys, alongside his renowned namesake showroom in Tel Aviv. His creations have been exhibited in museums and Fairs in Israel and worldwide including- Haifa Museum of Art (Israel), Eretz-Israel Museum (Israel), Philadelphia Museum of Art, USA and SOFA exhibition in Chicago, USA. He is a recipient of the Alix de Rothschild Crafts award. Samy D.'s work has also been featured in leading international trade and lifestyle magazines. Among them are Elle Decor, O Magazine, Home Fashion and TimeOut, to name a few. Samy D. has also created bespoke collections for leading corporations and brands, such as Bank Hapoalim, Microsoft, EL-AL Airlines First Class, Ritz Carlton Hong Kong and Ritz Carlton Hertzeliya. In the coming year his work will join the permanent collection of the Israeli Parliament and will be showcased in a joint exhibition with artist Ronen Shaarabani, as an official event of the Israeli Design Week 2014 in Holon.
