Volcano A group of works characterized by the use of rough texture ceramics. This texture resembles a basaltic rock created by a volcanic eruption typical to northern Israel.  There is an imminent tension between the rough texture of the completed vessels, and the refined details of the gold and platinum coatings. This series includes a variety of pieces, ranging from functional art items such as dinnerware and furniture to large scale art works and site specific installations. Several items from the Volcano series were commissioned by the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Hong Kong, where they are prominently placed in the hotel's public spaces.
